Alan L. Jones, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic trauma surgeon specializing in the treatment of fractures, traumatic injuries and complex post-traumatic reconstruction. He sees patients in Dallas, Texas, and serves as the Medical Director of Orthopedic Trauma Services at Baylor University Medical Center. Dr. Jones is also a founding member of Orthopaedic Trauma Associates of North Texas.
Dr. Jones has extensive expertise in treating articular fractures (fractures involving major joints), pelvic fractures, acetabular fractures, fracture nonunions and malunions, as well as other complex orthopedic trauma injuries. His clinical interests include orthopedic trauma surgery, fracture care, post-traumatic reconstruction and complex joint injury management, with a focus on restoring function, mobility and quality of life through advanced surgical techniques and personalized treatment plans.
Dr. Jones earned his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and completed both his surgical internship and orthopedic surgery residency at UT Southwestern Medical School and affiliated hospitals in Dallas. He then completed fellowship training in orthopedic traumatology at the renowned Shock Trauma Center/Maryland Institute for Emergency Medical Services Systems in Baltimore, Maryland.
